Dec. 15 * Sanded all dirt roads due to icy conditions * Continued clearing trees to widen out roads * Vin on vacation day * Received page from Shelburne Control that National Guard wanted a call - contacted Jim Erviti and were informed of 50 National Guard Troops were heading to Warwick to assist clearing roads and work with DCR to clear road to Mt. Grace - they arrived at 1 P.M. and had remaining roads all cleared by 3:45 P.M. * Noted we were having problem with transmission shifting in 1-Ton truck - to send to Salvadore's tomorrow for repair Tues. Dec 16 * Power was back on at garage when we came in * Put all doors back on electric hook-ups, fueled all equipment, got chainsaw equipment all ready to go again and readied equipment for tonight's storm * Brought truck # 4 to Salvadore's for repair * Picked up more free guardrail from bridge project on Orange Rd. * Repaired washout on White Rd. by house # 50 * Cut up tree in road in Gulf area Wed. Dec. 17 * Called in personnel at 1:30 A.M. to sand all paved roads - began plowing main roads at 6:30 A.M. - called in private contractors to plow at 8 A.M. to plow paved roads - sanded all dirt roads and checked and re-sanded paved roads as necessary * Internet service was not available today on computer to use to monitor the storm and the weather radar sites Thurs. Dec. 18 * Sanded all roads beginning at 3 A.M. due to icy conditions * Cleared away debris from what power crews cut * Picked up truck # 4 from Salvadore's * Tim met with FEMA damage assessment team and showed them around town Fri. Dec. 19 * Finished clearing away debris in roadway as able * Tim drove all roads to asses damage for FEMA report before snow storm * Got all equipment ready for storm * Called in private contractors and began plowing at 2:15 P.M. - continued plowing into Sat. Sat. Dec. 20 * Plowed storm until 1:45 A.M. - began sanding at 1:45 A.M. of all roads - went home at 5:30 A.M. - 10" of snow Sun. Dec. 21 * Called in personnel and private contractors to plow all roads at 6 A.M. - continued to plow all day - began sanding at 10:30 P.M. - went home at 12 A.M. - 7" of snow
