Dec. 22 - 28, 2008

Mon. Dec. 22
* Sanded all dirt roads

* Cleaned up transfer station and crushed dumpsters

* Checked hazardous waste area for leaks finding none

* Went to Shrewsbury to pick up new dump truck

* Changed cutting edges on plow # 4

* Plowed back snow drifts

Tues. Dec. 23
* Jim on day off

* Worked on new truck checking out hook-ups with plow
and calibrating sander and driver training

* Had 2-way radio switched over to new truck and other
radio issues repaired

* Plowed edges of road as needed

* Repaired washout on Chestnut Hill Rd.

Wed. Dec. 24
* Jim on day off

* Sanded all roads beginning at 6 A.M. due to snow, sleet,
freezing rain and rain

Thurs. Dec. 25
* Holiday

Fri. Dec. 26
* Sanded all dirt roads due to icy conditions

* Finished getting new dump truck ready to put into service

* Checked roads for wind storm damage

* Washed out sand trucks

Sat. Dec. 27 
* Received call from Shelburne Control at 7:45 A.M. that
P.D. was requesting sand due to freezing rain - sanded all roads
and went home at 1:45 P.M.
