Dec. 24 * Jim on vacation day * Checked hazardous waste area for leaks finding none * Checked roads for problems from rain and wind cleaning up tree limbs * Spot sanded roads for icy conditions * Cut up three trees that were hanging over roadway * Crushed dumpsters at landfill * Washed loader Tues. Dec. 25 * Holiday Wed. Dec. 26 * Vin returned to work today * Did service on loader * Cut brush on Winchester Rd. * Truck # 4 broke down and went to Salvadore's for repairs - truck will not be ready until Jan. 3 or 4 due to waiting for parts to come in * Truck # 2 wouldn't start and called Porter's to make repairs * Garage door opener wouldn't work properly - called Champion Door who came to look at it and said we need new garage door opener - will be replaced on Fri. Thurs. Dec. 27 * Sanded all roads beginning at 6 A.M. due to freezing rain - continued to check roads and sand as necessary during the day - precipitation switched to snow at 2:20 P.M. and began sanding paved roads at 2:35 P.M. - called private contractors and began plowing roads at 4 P.M. - re-sanded dirt roads after plowing at 8:15 P.M. - went home at 10:30 P.M. - 1 1/2" of snow plus freezing rain Fri. Dec. 28 * Spot sanded roads for icy spots * Washed out sanders * Chipped brush on Winchester Rd. Sat. Dec. 29 * Tim came in at midnight to monitor and check roads for icy conditions - went home at 2 A.M. as temperature was going up and roads were O.K. * Called in personnel to sand dirt roads at 8 A.M. due to rain - went home at 11:45 A.M. Sun. Dec. 30 * Called in personnel at 9:15 P.M. to begin sanding paved roads due to snow storm - continued into Monday's log
