Mar. 24 * Came to work and found fire alarm in trouble and no internet service - extra phone line that was disconnected must be needed - called David Young to reconnect it * Crushed dumpsters at landfill * Checked hazardous waste area for leaks finding none * Cut brush on Orange Rd. Tues. Mar. 25 * Cut brush on Orange Rd. Wed. Mar. 26 * Cut brush on Orange Rd. * Cut up tree that fell on Bass Rd. Thurs. Mar. 27 * Cut brush on N. Holden Rd. * Met with Chief Peters on road sign issue * Met with blaster to look over possible project on Rt. 78 * Received report of tree on side of Hockanum Rd. - cut up and chipped the tree Fri. Mar. 28 * Called in personnel at 5 A.M. to begin sanding paved roads - began plowing paved roads at 9 A.M. - unable to plow dirt roads due to extreme softness (we tried to plow them) - called in private contractor at 10:30 A.M. - began sanding dirt roads at 2 P.M. - went home at 6 P.M. - 5-8" of heavy, wet snow * Received report of stop sign knocked over at intersection of Northfield Rd. and Wendell Rd. * Called National Grid about a couple of trees on wires * Received multiple calls about trees in roadways throughout town - cut up trees as they were reported or discovered by us while plowing and sanding
