May 19 * Checked hazardous waste area for leaks finding none * Worked on washout area on Beech Hill Rd. * Crushed dumpsters at landfill * Repaired basin on Northfield Rd. that was collapsed * Dug out culvert on Old Winchester Rd. that was plugged * Cleaned up area where metal pile was located by garage Tues. May 20 * Continued working on washout area on Beech Hill Rd. * Finished basin repair on Northfield Rd. * Rip rapped minor washout locations in town * Chipped up tree that came down last week on Gale Rd. * Met with salesman from Lane on HMA bid * Went to select board meeting to discuss new truck purchase Wed. May 21 * Hauled 8 yds. of coarse and 64 yds. of crushed gravel to Beech Hill Rd. * Cut up brush from winter damage on various roads in town * Met with National Grid to inspect new lights that were installed * Community Service came in to cut small brush growth on Athol Rd. * Marked various road project and called in for dig safe numbers * Truck # 3 blew high pressure oil line on Beech Hill Rd. - Porter's to come out and repair tomorrow Thurs. May 22 * Hired sweeper began today * Finished hauling 16 yds. of gravel to Beech Hill Rd. * Graded and rock raked top section of Beech Hill Rd. * Went to Orange for supplies Fri. May 23 * Hired sweeping finished sweeping today * Finished grading and rock raking Beech Hill Rd. * Cleaned up sand area around cistern in center of town * Re-installed street signs that were knocked over or pulled out during the winter * Met with truck salesmen to finalize the purchase of the new dump truck and sander body * Received check for $427.75 from Goguen Towing for scrap metal at the highway garage to go into General Fund * Cleaned out beaver debris on Moore's Pond spillway
