Sept. 8 - 14, 2008

Mon. Sept. 8
* Checked hazardous waste area for leaks finding none

* Crushed dumpsters at transfer station

* Graded and rock raked far end of Gale Rd.

* Checked roads for tropical storm Hanna damage
and began making some repairs

Tues. Sept. 9
* Cleaned out bleeders and culverts on far end of Gale Rd.

* Began sweeping roads for line painting until sweeper broke
down and worked on repairing it

* Met with Lane Constr. on paving project

* Met with Pat Lemon to discuss snow and ice issues

* Received call from Shelburne Control about a tree down
on Northfield Rd. - same removed

Wed. Sept. 10 
* Finished sweeping roads for line painting after fixing sweeper

* Brought truck # 3 to Porter's for fuel tank replacement

* Finished cleaning bleeders on far end of Gale Rd. and a
portion of Old Winchester Rd. - also cleaned out some culverts
on Old Winchester Rd.

* Fixed washout on Orange Rd. near Wheeler Rd.

Thurs. Sept. 11 
* Cleaned out culverts and bleeders on Quarry Rd.

* Picked up truck # 3 from Porter's

* Graded and rock raked Chestnut Hill Rd. and W. Wilson Rd.

* Resident found stolen street sign in woods and noticed
another street sign on Northfield Rd. was stolen - reported
to Chief Peters

* Began working on cleaning culverts on Pine St.

Fri. Sept. 12 
* Pushed back dumpster at transfer station

* Put rip rap in washout area on Old Winchester Rd. above Robbins Rd.

* Checked beaver areas for any problems

* Put in grate on culvert on Bass Rd. to deter beaver activity
