Moore's Pond Beach Committee
Minutes
March 14, 2011
7 PM

Present: Kathy Connelly, Matt Connelly, Gloria Varno, Dave Shepardson,
Bev Shepardson, Clare Green, Mary Williamson (arrived 8 PM).

Meeting called to order at 7:05 PM.

Notes:

Minutes of 1/10/2011 meeting were unanimously approved.
Kathy updated the budget figures from last meeting.  
$601.17 balance at the last meeting
Mary had given her contributions received in the middle of January
bringing the balance to $656.17.  
Then received an additional $100 bringing the total to $756.17
The $640 invoice for water testing was paid leaving a balance of $116.17
as of today.
Kathy presented the committee with a spreadsheet summarizing the water
testing for the past year.  (See Attached).  It would be interesting to
note the weather conditions on the weeks where there is a high increase
in contamination levels (none of which exceeded 235).  Kathy is going to
try and identify these conditions for the next meeting.
Kathy said the Board of Health had extended the permit for Wooden Fender
events for the year so we did not have to obtain a separate permit for
our dinner. We finalized the menu for the Wooden Fender April 9, 2011
event.  40 to 50 people are expected.
Lasagna, salad with Italian dressing, bread and butter, brownies,
coffee, tea, punch.

** Kathy will pick up the salad fixings, dressing, punch, tea, and
coffee condiments at BJ's and take the cost out of the budget.
A door prize will be offered that evening for everyone purchasing a
dinner ticket.  Door prize will be a beach towel.
Table coverings are provided but we will try and have some "beachy" type
table decorations.  Clare suggested we get some bubbles and maybe some
shells to put on each table.
It was also suggested that we run the CD of pictures of the beach and
pond during the dinner.  
We are charging $7.
Clare is going to contact Al Morgan who will then contact Kathy and
together they can make the advertisement for the newsletter and papers.  
Kathy is going to contact the Youth Group for volunteers to help in
serving and cleanup.
Confirmed the May 21st Beach cleanup with a raindate of May 22nd.  Will
post in the newsletter.
